Hello Friends,
I thought I would do another Saturday Sit Down for you all, so grab a cup of coffee and let’s chat.
Last weekend, we had such a wonderful time with some very dear friends of ours. My sweet friend, Audrey, and her family are from out-of-state. While it is sad that we can’t hang out more and I constantly wish we lived closer, those times when we can spend a couple of days together are so very special. These friendships are so important, ladies. We need to build each other up, through all of life’s ups and downs.

While they were visiting, Audrey and I also had a change to sit down and work on some really cool projects for No Greater Love. I’m so excited to share more of what we worked on soon. Hopefully, I will have our first post up on Tuesday. We had so much fun working on this for you, so I hope everyone enjoys it.
Meditation:
Romans 8 has probably impacted my life more than any other chapter of the Bible. The beauty of this passage was first brought to my attention by my youth minister, who read it slowly during an adoration night. Here, St. Paul spells out our worth in Christ. We are of the spirit, not of the flesh. We are dead to the world and alive in Christ. We are children of God, adopted and loved immensely. We may suffer, but it is so worth it because of the glory to come. Uhhh, I just can’t get enough!! So so so beautiful, the love of Christ.
Sisters, please pray over this passage and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through His Word. These are the words of conversion. These are the words that have the power to set the world on fire for the love of Christ.
Saint of the Day:
St. Mary Magdalene:
Oh my goodness!! I was so excited when I saw that Mary Magdalene was the saint for today. Magdalene is the perfect example of the unending mercy of God. Even in her sin, as she was living a life of great impurity, Christ reached out to her specifically and saved her from her bad situation. Can you imagine that? I think that would be pretty awesome. She hung out with Jesus and the disciples, washed Jesus’s feet, and was the first to see Jesus after He rose from the dead. Wow, Oh wow. And to think some people say the Catholic Church doesn’t value women enough. Obviously not!!
Songs to Inspire:
Worn by Tenth Avenue North
“I know I need to lift my eyes up, but I’m so weak, life just won’t let up… Let me see redemption when. Let me know that struggle ends. That you can mend a heart that’s frail and torn. I want to know a song can rise from the ashes of a broken life. That all that’s dead inside can be reborn. Cuz I’m worn.”
We all have those days when we are just tired. Life gets crazy and sometimes it seems to spin out of control. The point, however, is that we have a God who understands our pain and suffering. He lived through it and walks with us through the hard times. We might not always realize it, but He is always with us. I like to think of this song as a prayer, and a reminder of the greatness of God’s mercy and guiding hand.
This One’s for the Girls by Martina McBride
“This one’s for the girls, Who’ve ever had a broken heart, Who’ve wished upon a shooting star, You’re beautiful the way you are, This one’s for the girls, Who love without holding back, Who dream with everything they have, All around the world, This one’s for the girls.”
This song celebrates the beauty of womanhood, even amidst a very anti-femininity genre of music. It celebrates the beauty of women without their makeup on. It celebrates our natural call to love and care. And it celebrates that we all have big dreams that may seem crazy at times. I absolutely love this song and am always encouraged when I hear it on national radio!!
What a Savior by Laura Story
“Jesus You are stronger, More than any other, Hallelujah what a savior, Jesus You are higher, My soul’s deepest desire, Hallelujah what a savior, You are the shepherd king, You lead us by still waters, Hallelujah You are savior.”
We know that He is Lord, but sometimes it can be easy to forget. This song is such a wonderful reminder of the strength of Love that our God has for His children. It is certainly hard to forget such love while listening to this beautiful song.

How to Defend the Faith without Raising Your Voice
I’ve only really been reading one book recently but its a good one. How to Defend the Faith without Raising Your Voice is such a wonderful book for basically anyone to read. It is quick and conscise as it talks about all of the different hot topic issues of the church. In a world that stresses the importance of political correctness, we can easily miss opportunities to evangelize and put people’s worries to rest. I know this book will come in handy as a tool of evangelization for myself and many.
Have a beautiful Saturday Ladies!! God bless!!
