Good morning, Ladies!!!
So, this month has been pretty awesome!! I’ve stumbled upon some really wonderful books, found a few cool products, and learned a lot from some really smart people. That being said, I thought I’d show you some of my favorites!! Enjoy and Happy Wednesday!!
Shaken | Tim Tebow
Don’t you all just love when you walk into a new section of your library and are smacked between the eyes with a GIANT self-development/Christian section. Yesssss!! The icing on the cake came when I saw this book!! I had just heard a fellow blogger praising it and couldn’t be happier to find it. You might be wondering why a quarterback could have anything important to say to a young Catholic woman? Tim writes from such a place of honesty and knowledge. He has lived his Christianity on his sleeve for his whole life and been severely criticized for it. And, through all his trials, he failed a lot of times. What? That’s not what you were expecting. Yes, he is human. But he learned how to stand up again. And that’s the important thing.
Keep It Shut | Karen Ehman
Even if I had hated this book, I’d probably still include it due to the drop dead beautiful cover. LOL. It persuaded me at first glance. Karen Ehman is such a captivating author and writer for Proverbs 31. She is witty. She is sweet. And she is so jam packed with a knowledge that I aspire to. This book’s focus is on harnessing the power of our words, stopping them from doing harm, and training them for good. The tongue has power, my friends, and it can do so many things. If only we allow it to do the right things at the right times.
Bio Clarity
So, confession time. At the beginning of the year, I saw all these beautiful women talking about freshening up their skin in the new year. And I absolutely love the idea. But it sounded hard and time consuming. And I have VERY sensitive skin that tends to not like being shocked by any kind of new system. Even so, I thought I’d try out Bio Clarity. It’s a simple three step system that is catered to your personal skin needs. For the past month, I have used it almost every night and have absolutely love how clean and smooth my skin has been. Though this is a subscription service, I choose to only buy it once, since its more than a month’s worth for me!! But I look forward to another month of rejuvenation in the future. Plus, you get your first order at 50% off.
Evergreen | Audrey Assad
You know how sometimes you see something good start ‘trending’ on Instagram and you think “huh, maybe I should go check that out”. Case in point. I’ve been seeing Mrs. Assad’s new album all over recently and am so glad that I finally checked it out. She is such a beautiful soul and sings like an angel. This album is chuck full of beautiful meditative songs that are sure to lift your spirit this Lent. So, go check it out.
Sarah Nourse | LifeBySarah.com
I have been following Sarah Nourse on YouTube for a couple of months now. She is the one who first inspired me to live a more minimalistic life and cut down on consumerism. It has been so cool to see how her influence has changed over this little while, from a fulltime YouTuber, to a more personal blog and newsletter influencer. Hers is the first email list that I have enjoyed every second of. I love getting her happy mail on Mondays and what better day than that!! So, go check her out and sign up!! If you’re looking for inspiration, I know you’ll love it!!
The Goal Digger Podcast | Jenna Kutcher
I recently found the GD Podcast and fell in love with Jenna’s carefree, teaching style. After watching just a few interviews, I have learned so much and constantly go to her shows when I need something to listen to. I also love that she interviews a plethora of different people, from faith-based influencers, to successful Instagram-ers, to fellow podcasters and more. She also takes time to tell her own story, do little “Friday Five” sit downs, and share about her successes and struggles. I can’t wait to learn more from this beautiful educator in the future!!
What have been some of your favorite things this month!!
Have a blessed day!!
Audrey Assad is my favorite!!!
I have her “Fortunate Fall” album.
I was actually introduced to her from my Confirmation sponsor.
The songs are actually leading my closer to Jesus , and just letting my think that Jesus is so precious in the Eucharist and that he is just so “Good to me”.
I hope you have a blessed Lent Maddy.
